Chaith na TYs dhá lá in ionad siamsaíochta DELPHI, in ainneoin na droch aimsire bhain siad uilig an-taitneamh as an turas.
The wind and the rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of our TY students as they headed for the beautiful Delphi Resort, Leenane on Monday and Tuesday. The students were asked to pack waterproof jackets, a change of clothes and a sense of adventure and they didn’t disappoint! The day started with an amazing bog challenge and far from feeling exhausted the students returned exhilarated. After a welcome bowl of warming soup it was onto the next challenge – High Ropes.Some soared high and took a frightening leap of faith while others took it at their own pace and climbed to a comfortable level, walked a tightrope before sailing back to ground.
The dinner ladies had their hands full serving up a delicious stew, some enjoyed it so much they went back for seconds…..and thirds!
The final activity was a nighttime walk through the woods. Our tired and exhausted TYs fell into bed and slept soundly until morning……almost!!
